Subject: Your letter to the Blue Ridge Parkway

Mr. Heafner:

Your letter to Superintendent Brown was forwarded to me due to my responsibilities of managing the interpretative activities on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We are very interested in learning more about the graves you mentioned in your letter. We will have our new District Interpretive Specialist, Mindy DeCesar, stationed at Rocky Knob in early July. I would like to ask her to meet with you. If you could send me your phone number it will help facilitate that opportunity. Please understand she will be coming into a new position and will be "swamped" given we are in the heart of our season, but I am anxious to have her meet with you.

Thanks for your letter and reminding us of what is a potentially important cultural resource on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
