Blue Ridge Institute - Draft Horse, Pony and Mule Show

Teams and drivers exhibit old-time farming skills through plowing, wagon driving and log pulling competitions with horse-drawn farm equipment. Parade of wagons and antique farm equipment at noon.

This will be held at the Blue Ridge Farm Museum at Ferrum College, Ferrum, Virginia on July 28, 1984 between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. Admission charge is $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children 6 through 15 and senior citizens.

The Blue Ridge Farm Museum is open now until August 19 for tours. It is a living history farm with costumed interpreters. The 1800 German farm accurately reproduces life and architecture common to mountain regions. A 1900 farm is under construction nearby. The hours it is open are Saturdays from 10:00 am til 5:00 pm and Sundays from 1:00 til 5:00pm with the admission charge of $1.00 for adults and 50 cents for children and senior citizens.
