My husband's Gunnell family came from Patrick County, so we hope to see something about the Gunnells sometime. Hope the query will find some new information.

Seeking parents of Austin Gunnell, married in Patrick County, Va. 1835 to Lucy Clark, daughter of Jesse and Lucy (Pedigo) Clark. Austin and Lucy (Clark) Gunnell were in Floyd Co., KY in 1850 census. Does anyone know the parents of Jesse Clark? Does anyone know the parents of Caleb May, Sr. born 1781, probably near Tennessee-North Carolina line (maybe Carter Co., Tenn.)? He came to Floyd Co., KY by 1810 and was married to Margaret Patrick. How is Caleb May, Sr. related to John May, a Revolutionary War soldier born 1760, married Sarah Jane Phillips, buried in Pike Co. Ky.?

I am searching for information on the ancestors and descendants of Silas Stump and Jane Nichols Stump who married in Franklin County on April 30, 1840. Their son, Elijah G. Stump, born in the 1840's, married Martha Smith, daughter of Creed Smith and Mary Radford Smith in Franklin County on January 5, 1860. Elijah and Martha Stump later lived in the Locust Grove District of Floyd County. I need their dates of death and place of burial. I am trying to write my family history and seeking information on these ancestors: Silas Stump, Jane Nichols, Creed Smith, Mary Radford, Elijah Stump, and Martha Smith. Any information or stories on any of these ancestors will be greatly appreciated.

My paternal g-g-grandmother was Elizabeth Ann (Fulcher) Martin, born in 1827, in Patrick Co. Not knowing what her husband's first name is, nor her parents' names, I need information on this. Her son was John Robert Martin who married Emma (Taylor) Martin in 1888 in Patrick Springs, VA.

I am also seeking information on Dr. W.F.B. Taylor. He is my g-g-grandfather; born in 1828 in Henry County, VA. He married Frances Morton (Bishop) Taylor of Stuart. Her father was Dr. Joseph Bishop and her mother was Elizabeth (Terrell) Bishop. Frances Bishop Taylor, was called Fannie, and was born in 1832.

My maternal g-g-grandfather, Waller Akers Conway was born approximately in 1857 in Patrick Co. and married Amanda Cannon (Dalton) Conway. Their son Caney (Cain) E. Conway was born in 1883 in Patrick Co. and married Lucy Hulda (Gilbert). Her parents were James Monroe Gilbert, born in 1853 and Mary Elizabeth (Gilbert) Gilbert born in 1858.

Any information and stories on any of these ancestors will be greatly appreciated from the readers.
