[Dear Editor;]
I would like any information on Samuel Howard Thompson, Sr., the birth date we have is October 25, 1807. We are not sure this is right. Would like his death date and where he is buried. He was married twice (2) once to a Mary James and 2nd to Mary Fulcher, we think she came from Patrick Springs. She is buried here in the Thompson Cemetery [Danville, Va.], b. August 30, 1816, d. March 1, 1896. The children we have are Samuel Howard, Jr., Waddie Scott, Virginia Frances, Sally Jane, Emma Woods, Letetia Ann, James William and Richard Henry. The Pittsylvania County records were burned. Will gladly share our findings.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Richard Thompson
